Iglesia del Salvador (Salvador´s Churchr)
The Iglesia del Salvador (Salvador´s Chuch) is the second largest temple in Sevilla after the Santa Cathedral. The church was built where formerly was the mayor mosque known as Idn-Addabas. The construction work began in 1674 by the architect Stephen Garcia and were finalized in 1712 by Leonardo de Figueroa. From this ninth-century Arab building, still remains the yard Abluciones and the base of the tower.
Inside you can find some masterpieces such as the Caytano Acosta works (like the cover of the Sacrament Chapel or the altarpiece), Martinez Montanes (sizes of Our Passion and Jesus de San Cristobal, in the Baroque altarpiece) and Juan de Mesa, as Love in Christ esculturadel in the neo-baroque altarpiece.
